TorontoPlaygrounds.com was established with the goal of raising funds to help rebuild the playgrounds at Toronto's public schools through a combination of community and corporate sponsorship.

This fundraising effort was initiated by Richard and Debbie Silver, whose children attend Denlow Public School. The website was designed and donated by GoPro.ca, a company run by Richard.

We are an independent group of parents working in cooperation with the Toronto District School Board. The TDSB has assured us that all donations raised through TorontoPlaygrounds.com will go directly to the playground cause, and that donations can be made to a particular school or to all affected schools. The TDSB will issue tax receipts and ensure that all donations are properly tracked.

It has not yet been determined how long it will take for the School Board to replace the 172 Playgrounds that were affected or what the replacement cost will be. We do not wish to dwell on the issue of why the playgrounds were removed. You can read all about the issue in the many news articles posted in our "In The News" section.

We believe that with your help our community can raise significant funds, and that this will mean better playgrounds erected sooner. We simply want our kids to be able to make the most of their playtime at recess, lunch, and after school.

PLEASE HELP!
